Oh baby!

I just looooove photographing newborns. I think it's the challenge that I like the most. It's such a game of when to feed, do we touch them yet or are they not yet sound asleep. If you touch them too soon they are awake again and we're back to whispering and rocking until their eyes stop rolling and finally completely close. Not sure why that is fun to me but I guess I'm easily entertained. Is there nothing better than a sleeping baby though? I remember with my first just sitting there for hours and watching him sleep. Of course when the second and especially the third come around there's no time for that so for those of you with one, enjoy it while it lasts;)

 

We did get this little guy to sleep but I love the images with his big beautiful blue eyes open.

Happy New Year!

What a year! I'm so thankful for so many things in 2011. It was a great year for both Lisa Buth Photography and for my personal life as well. As I reflect back on all of my sessions from this year, I'm so greatful for all of the friendships I've made and all of the trust you have all put in me to document your family and your life. I also feel so lucky to have such a supportive husband and kids who make me smile and laugh every day. Here's a few images of my little angels that I took for my Christmas card;) Hope you all had a great 2011 and an even better 2012!!!

 

And of course, it wouldn't be my kids without a little naughtiness.....

School Year's Resolutions-Hudson Photographer

Ok, so how many of you make "School Year's Resolutions"? I do every year, I think I actually make more this time of year than I do on New Year's. Well, we're 4 days into the school year and I've pretty much broken every one of them....starting with working out every day...cleaning my house...being very organized and feeding my children only healthy foods. I know, I'm very realistic. I'll start next week;) Sound familiar? I hope I'm not the only one! How are your "School Year's Resolutions" going? Does anyone have any good ones?

Here's my kids on the first day of school, right after I yelled at them for going down to the bus stop while I was in the shower....yep.....yelling was also on my list;(

Family Session

Outdoor photography can be a bit challenging with the weather in this state. Especially this summer! I think we rescheduled 3 times because of rain and then it was really hot and humid when we were finally able to do it. It was still a lot of fun and the kids did great but we were a little sweaty by the end:)

Spring is here!? - Hudson Photographer

Well, spring was here but now I'm not so sure. Waking up to snow this morning was not a pleasant surprise. We were so close to warm weather! Oh well, here's a few images that I took to signal the beginning of spring. And.....because she was so dang cute in her little outfit!

 

 

 

Elodie Event

We're super excited to be a part of the Elodie Annual Jean Exchange this year. For those of you that are not familiar with it, you bring in an old pair of denim to donate and get 30% off of a new pair! So fun! Elode is located in Woodbury Lakes. It's a cute little boutique with great clothes for women.  All of the donations go to Arc's Value Village which is an organization that provides support for families struggling with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Who doesn't have an old pair of denim sitting around that you'll never wear?? While you're there, register to win a free session and 8x10 from Lisa Buth Photography. Can it get any more exciting!;) Oh, and the event runs this weekend from March 3rd through the 6th.

We're bored...

January and February are always slow here at the studio and after the craziness of the holiday season, we're just not used to relaxing. Therefore, to continue to do what we love, we're offering FREE SESSIONS!! Yes, you heard right, FREE SESSIONS. These are 20 minute studio sessions. They will be offered this Monday, January 17th from 10-2:30 and the following Wednesday January 26th from 10-2:30. There is a maximum of 3 people per session and one session per family. Sessions do not include prints. All sessions will be posted one week from the session date and all orders will be placed at your ordering appointment in the studio within 30 days. I know this sounds crazy but we wanted to spice things up and have a little bit of fun during these cold winter months! Happy New Year!! I can't believe 2011 is already here. 2010 was so wonderful both in my personal and business life. We had so many great clients and so many fun sessions this year. As you may have noticed....I am not very consistent in my blogging. I think it was one of my new years resolutions last year and guess what?? It's on the list again. I have so many things I want to share from this past year so I'm going to try to play catch up this month with some of the happenings of 2010. Here goes....

 I have the privilege of working with Dr. Brettin at Sletten and Brettin Orthodontics here in Hudson doing some photography work and also got a chance to photograph his adorable family. Here is their session from November. It was absolutely freezing and I think we lasted about 20 minutes outside but they were troopers in their fall attire. 

 

 

Josh and Lucy-Children's Photographer

I've been taking photos of this family for over 4 years. It's so fun to get to photograph kids as they grow and change. I've made some really great friends out of clients over the years and their mom is one of them. What a great job I have! Well, I better get on to the images because I know their mom is dying to see them! I know this because after every session she calls, emails, texts, etc to see exactly when they are going to be done.(she'll probably kill me for saying that but I think it's hilarious!) Blue eyes

 Check out these eyes. And yes, they are that blue! I just love taking photos of Hannah. The other two handsome boys are my son't partners in crime.  I feel so fortunate that my kids are surrounded by such great friends.

What is so funny??  A can of course, that her mom is playing soccer with!
